- Abstract
- Pertains to the art and stories of Charles M. Russell, organized and authored by John Willard. Charles M. Russell shared a colonial relationship with Indigenous Peoples in the American West and Alberta, Canada. His art reflected these relations as he often depicted his encounters with Indigenous Peoples in his work. Additionally, Russell was fascinated with cowboys and the West in general, thus much of his work was centered on his fascination. In addition to Russell’s art work, author John Willard shares short textual excerpts commemorating the life Russell lived. The Charles M. Russell book contains bright vibrant works, as well as black and white sketches that keep the reader engaged and enticed.
