- Carl William Lindow, 1888-1958, and Iva Madeline Lindow, 1894-1989, operated the Holiday Inn Lodge, a rooming house at 311 Marten Street, Banff, Alberta, Canada, for nearly forty years. They had two children, Carl Jr. and Maxine.

- Photographs pertain to Banff events, including Banff Winter Carnival, Banff Indian Days, parades; Holiday Inn Lodge; automobile trips in Banff, Yoho, Jasper and Kootenay National Parks; winter views of Skoki and Temple Lodges and Sunshine ski area; filming of motion picture "Saskatchewan," 1953; wildlife; scenic postcards, 1920s-1930s; Banff-Lake Louise black and white promotional photographs, 1950s; Canadian Pacific Railway and trains. Transparencies are mainly by Carl Lindow.
