The boat "Qualicum Wind" was christened by the daughter of its builder, Brian Salmon, in honour of Eleanor Luxton. Salmon's goal was to reenact the voyage of Norman Luxton's canoe, the Tilikum, in order to celebrate and publicize Norman's journey.
