- Mount Assiniboine Camp (later lodge) was acquired in 1928 by ski pioneer Erling Strom and Marquis degli Albizzi. Strom continued to operate the lodge until the 1970s, when operation passed to his daughter Siri Strom who operated the Lodge until the end of the season, 1983.
