- A pair of round shallow dishes set on tall pedestals. The dishes have a bold coloured border around the rim with a series of raised relief gold dots forming a band . The centre of each plate is decorated with a sheaf of leaves, grasses and flowers. Each pedestal is a column with acanthus leaves around the top with two sculpted figures playing about the column. The column rests on a large round base, with three feet curving under, and repeats the design of plate border. - A matched cup and saucer with a wide dark band inside the rim of the cup and on the saucer. Six vine-like scrolls are spaced evenly around the inside and outside of the cup, and also on the rim of the saucer. The middle of the cup depression and the bottom of the cup are both decorated with a circle drawn around a scrollwork medallion. The cup has a narrow base flaring out to the mouth, and a slightly scrolled loop handle attached at one side. Both pieces are marked “Royal Grafton, Fine Bone China”, and “Made in England”. The cup is also marked with the number “#1564”.
