- A well-worn, felt, beige-coloured (sun faded) western-styled hat with a leather thong threaded through two small holes in the sides and knotted at both ends. The crown is pushed down and molded into a lady’s style. There is a grosgrain ribbon sewn on around the crown as a hat band and the same material is sewn onto and around the brim. The inside of the hat is taupe/brown coloured because it has not been exposed to the sun. There is a brown, soft leather, sweatband sewn onto the inside of the crown rim and at the back, where it is pieced together, there is a fabric ribbon tied in a bow, to the left of that, a stamped “SMITHBILT” logo. Attached to the inside leather thong is a card stating in black felt pen printing “WILLIES WESTERN HAT”. Attached above one knotted end is a card re: Nick *see narrative.
