On the top face of the box, there is text that reads, “ASSORTMENT No. 743”; “24 ASSORTED COLORS”; “MONGOL COLORED INDELIBLE EXTRA STRONG THIN LEAD PENCILS”; “CAN BE SHARPENED TO A NEEDLE POINT”; “”PAINT WITH PENCILS” USE BRUSH AND WATER”; “EBERHARD FABER MADE IN U.S.A. - (a) A 50 ml Waterman inkwell made of glass. The inkwell would have held black ink. There is a yellow sticker on the front face of the inkwell, which contains a black rectangular box near the top, with the text: “NOIRE” within it. Underneath this, there is the text: “ENCRE WATERMAN”; “50 ml MADE IN FRANCE” in black ink.On the bottom of the inkwell there is raised text in the glass which reads: “WATERMAN MADE IN FRANCE APPROX 2 OZ”.
