The handle curls inward, over the lip, and is attached at the inside of the rim. The sauceboat is supported by three delicate outward curving legs that are attached to the sides of the bottom. There is a rough texture to the outside surface of the body of sauceboat. The sauceboat is hallmarked Sterling Silver.

The column rests on a large round base, with three feet curving under, and repeats the design of plate border.
