History / Biographical
Mary Belle Rich was a published poet and children's book author. Mary Belle grew up in Buffalo, New York before purchasing a large ranch and moving to Pincher Creek, Alberta in her adult years. Mary Belle's best-known work is her compilation of children's poems, titled "Fairy Tales and Grown-up Talk" (published ca.1913).
Scope & Content
File consists of one photograph of Mount Rundle on construction paper, annotated with an original poem by Mary Belle Rich. Photograph and poem were gifted to Norman Luxton.
