History / Biographical
Murray McCullagh, b.1927 is an artist/sculptor who lived in Banff, Alberta, Canada from 1928-1965. McCullagh attended Banff public schools, the Banff School of Fine Art, Sir Geo. Williams College in Montreal and the Art Centre in Los Angeles. While living in Banff, he worked for Brewster Transport, Sunshine Village, Parks Department, and the National Research Council's Cosmic Ray Lab on Sulphur Mountain. In 1958 McCullagh married Vosée Wanner of Montreal and they lived in the log cabin at 110 Bear Street, now the property of the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. In 1965 McCullagh moved to Los Angeles for a position with National Graphics Design firm and retired in 1987.
