Description
Dress of dark brown hide with short sleeves and a tie at one side of the neck opening. The sleeves of the dress have long fringe (23.5 cm) and some of the fringe pieces have blue beads and metal bells attached. The bottom hem of the dress also has fringe (15.0 cm long) attached. The front and back of the dress are decorated with cowrie shells hanging from beaded thread and three silver buckles with hanging threads. Tag attached: “note in bag - ‘this prob. Stoney w/ borrowed Crow idea’ “ in Joyce Johnson writing (1981-1984) and on reverse “Kathleen old regalia scince (sic) child Oct 1931” in CRW writing.

Description
