- A dark green canvas covered wooden trunk with wooden slat reinforcements on the top and sides. The trunk has metal reinforced edges and corners. The trunk fastens with two metal snap latches and a central circular locking latch on the front. Both ends of the trunk are painted with white stripes. The trunk is stencilled with “P.A.M.” and other illegible letters. The trunk also has paper sitckers reading “American Railway Express Co.”, “destination Monrovia, California”, “Mrs. W.A. Brewster”, and “Mrs. Syliva Brewster, Los Angeles”.
