- A very dark navy blue wool Calgary Highlander cap with red checked band. Cap has straight sides that slope backwards, a crease in the crown with a small red pompon nestled in the middle, and long 30 cm wide black grosgrain ribbon streamers at the back. 3 cm wide red and white checked band around cap is trimmed with a fold of black leather at the edge. Hat lined with black cotton drill. Metal pin attached through holes on left side of hat which is the insignia of the Calgary Highlanders, a bronze "X" with a wreath in front and crown atop, with silver coloured beaver at centre, and silver coloured banner beneath reading "Calgary Highlanders".
