Description
A very dark navy blue wool Calgary Highlander cap with red checked band. Cap has straight sides that slope backwards, a crease in the crown with a small red pompon nestled in the middle, and long 30 cm wide black grosgrain ribbon streamers at the back. 3 cm wide red and white checked band around cap is trimmed with a fold of black leather at the edge. Hat lined with black cotton drill. Metal pin attached through holes on left side of hat which is the insignia of the Calgary Highlanders, a bronze "X" with a wreath in front and crown atop, with silver coloured beaver at centre, and silver coloured banner beneath reading "Calgary Highlanders".

3 metal military pins. a) A grey metal pin in the shape of a large “X” with an ornate round border of maple leaves and thistles and a crown at the top. There is a silver beaver in the centre of the pin and a banner reading “Calgary Highlanders” underneath the beaver. Two loops at back but pin missing b) 5.0 cm x 2.0 cm x 1.5 cm. Brass pin depicting an oak leaf and an acorn on a short twig. The letters "CH" are centred on the leaf ("CH" - Calgary Highlanders). Back stamped with “BIRKS”c) 2.0 cm x 4.0 cm x 1.0 cm.
