- Murray McCullagh, b.1927 is an artist/sculptor who lived in Banff, Alberta, Canada from 1928-1965. McCullagh attended Banff public schools, the Banff School of Fine Art, Sir Geo. Williams College in Montreal and the Art Centre in Los Angeles. While living in Banff, he worked for Brewster Transport, Sunshine Village, Parks Department, and the National Research Council's Cosmic Ray Lab on Sulphur Mountain. In 1958 McCullagh married Vosée Wanner of Montreal and they lived in the log cabin at 110 Bear Street, now the property of the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. In 1965 McCullagh moved to Los Angeles for a position with National Graphics Design firm and retired in 1987.

- Gray Campbell, b.1912, was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police constable, rancher, writer and publisher at Banff and Cowley, Alberta and Sidney, British Columbia, Canada. Campbell served with the RCMP in Banff and Cowley districts from 1932 until 1939. He ranched in the Porcupine Hills area, ca.1948-1960, at the same time writing magazine articles on a number of subjects, including RCMP history.

- Fonds consists of manuscripts and research papers, 196-; police papers, 1932-1935; correspondence, 1937-1957; publications, 1933-1942; Hal B. Hammond papers and photographs, 1887-1888, 1938, n.d.; and research and personal photographs, 1887-ca.1937.
- Police papers are primarily reports, statements and news articles concerning a RCMP case involving the murder of four police officers and the deaths of three fugitives near Banff in 1935. They discuss the roles of Campbell, Bill Neish, Tom Wallace and George C. "Scotty" Harrison. Also includes Campbell's RCMP training papers and reports of various cases.
- Manuscripts are primarily short articles on a variety of subjects, including Harry Stallworthy, RCMP history, Christmas and Lord Strathcona's Horse regiment.
- The Hal B. Hammond material includes letters and manuscripts of an ex North West Mounted Police officer, 1884-1889, re RCMP history, Riel Rebellion, Milk River and Fort Carlton; also photographs of N.W.M.P. and Corporal H. - Mount Sir Donald is located in the Rogers Pass area of Glacier National Park, in the Selkirk Mountains of B. C. The mountain was originally named Syndicate Peak, but it was officially named after Sir Donald A. Smith, the first Baron Strathcona and Mount Royal, who was the head of the syndicate; he was also the Canadian Pacific Railway director who drove in the Last Spike on the CPR at Craigellachie in 1885.
