Black hard leather carry case with silver corner protectors and tarnished silver buckles and lock. The exterior of the case has remnants of shipping labels (and possibly other stickers) as well as painted red squares (approx. 7.5x6.5 cm) throughout the front and side panels - remnants of some large red label remains on the lid. The side opposite the handle has 2 (two) parallel pieces of wood nailed on horizontally. The handle is wrapped entirely in black electrical tape, leaving the metal hoops exposed - hanging from both metal hoops are the strings and tops of various “CP Rail” shipping tags, as well as a large tag reading “MORANT COLLECTION J-8 ‘Long Takumar Lens for 6x7 work, 600 mm’ 1 of 2” written on it in black ink and attached with a plastic loop. The interior of the case is lined with black paper and contains several pieces of thick white foam along the sides and bottom. Also inside the case is a dual-sided weight that looks homemade, possibly filled with sand, as well as a purple Crown Royal bag containing several small pieces of photography equipment and tools. A manufacturer label inside the lid reads “G.R. TAYLOR LTD. TRUNKS AND SAMPLE CASES WINNIPEG” - no information about the manufacturer found online.
