This field of wheat is a vivid orange and a pale yellow. At the centre-right of the image is a black oil derrick. To the left of the derrick and further in the distance are several grain elevators, of which a few are bright red. In the distance are the Rocky Mountains. A soft grey-blue sky makes up the top portion of the print.

At the bottom of the print is the brown and tan shore of Bow Lake. Four brownish trees are at the centre of this shore area. Bow lake is turquoise green and takes up the centre portion of the print. It appears as if the shore is at a slightly higher elevation than the lake. At the centre right of the print, Bow Glacier is visible. Brown and white mountains extend upwards from the lake across the centre of the print. The sky is pale blue and clear with two narrow streaky clouds, one above the other, extending across the print.
