- On the left side of this painting you can see three bighorn sheep in the center area. One sheep is closer then the rest and is looking straight at the viewer of the painting. The other two sheep are back further and are also looking in the same direction. All three of these animals are standing on rock and the ground is rough. The rock gets higher as it moves to the right of the painting and a tree grows from the ground at the very point the rock touches the right side picture frame. In the distance are mountains with snow covered peaks. The colour of the mountains and snow is a purple, blue hue. All three of the bighorn sheep have full, rounded horns.

The mother cougar has come down from the cubs and is located in the bottom left corner facing and heading toward the brc. In the brc what appears to be two bighorn sheep are feeding. Between the cougar and the other animals a large gorge between the two sections of the mountain exists. Around the cougar and the other animals light green grass is growing. In the background are more mountains blue in colour. The sky above is a light blue with some white clouds.
