Metal steamer trunk, with leather handles on sides. Left side has a partial Canadian Pacific Steamship Ltd.shipping label with Carl Rungius written on it. On the right side the initials” C.R. “ are stenciled in red.The top of the trunk has a burned area on the left side and a manufacturers metal label.The inside of the trunk has two drawer inserts covered with beige fabric. Two pieces of brown paper are inside that have some writing and sketches on them, evidently used to wrap his plates.

Description
Long, cylindrical, black leather carrying case with suitecase-type handle grip on side. Leather fastened together in a seam up the back by a series of black painted rivets approximately 3.0 apart. Leather cap fastened at one end with rivets and removable from other end to act as lid. Lid has small leather strap across top, through which passes a long leather belt attached to the body of the case just below the lid and buckling to the case on the opposite side. Leather, suitcase grip handle fastened to middle of cylinder with two square metal loops through leather straps attached to the cylinder. A small, brown, leather belt passes loosely around the base beneath the handle, with a paper address tag "from Mount Royal Hotel, Banff, Alberta" attached.
