Description
A child's Advent calendar, a single sheet of paper with brightly coloured scene. Nine rosy cheeked pudgy children engaged in various activities, playing, carrying, and sorting mail, etc. The major figure, presumably Santa Claus, sits at desk writing and talking on the telephone. Dispersed throughout the scene are twenty four little doors numbered from 1 - 24. Each door opens to reveal a picture printed on a luminous sheet of paper glued to the calendar. The calendar has not been used and is contained in its original envelope for mailing. Marks, printed in Western Germany.

Description
Hand crafted stuffed Santa on cardboard base. Wears knitted red hat and mittens, a knitted grey sweater, red woolen trousers, brown boots, and snowshoes made of pipe cleaners and lace. A green wreath with a red ribbon is tied to his left hand, a staff wrapped in foil and red and green cellophane, topped by a lamb made from a peanut and cotton-batting is held in his right hand. Hair and long white flowing beard made from cotton batting, face probably cut from a magazine illustration. Carries white sack on back with American flag, wooden puppet doll etc. sewn to outside. Base is fashioned from the lid of a cardboard box and lined with sheets of cotton batting to represent snow. The figure is given its shape and stability by an interior wire frame.
