It is knotted at one end and has a metal buckle.e) A ribbon, 62.5 cm long, that is red with black stripes. It is knotted at one end and has a metal buckle.f) A ribbon, 67.0 cm long, with black and orange stripes and the numbers '02' embroidered in orange. The ribbon is knotted at one end and is very similay to 103.09.0024b. g) A ribbon, 62.5 cm long, that is dark blue with yellow, red and green stripes. This ribbon is knotted at one end. h) A strip of ribbon, 33.0 cm long, that is half orange and half black. This strip of ribbon has been tied into a large bow. 103.09.0024c may be a remnant from this bow.Ribbons 103.09.0024b and 103.09.0024f are each labeled “The Wick Adjustable Fancy Band, Phila. Each hat bears a different design: 103.04.0033a - the word “Varuna” beneath a “V” behind the face of an old man (Poseidon?) with forks extending diagonally upward from behind his head; 103.04.0033b - the letters “TPT” with the P in the centre larger than the other two letters, and inside “CU Gulick”; 103.04.0033c - the word “Naraka” beneath a bust of a devil with horns and a pointed tail, with forks extending diagonally upward from behind the devil’s body, and inside “CU Gulick & W.B. The cup is marked with a symbol on the top front, an elongated quadrafoil, with a monogram “C&G” inside and an inscription “Runt Moore 1902” beaneath. There are autographs of friends scratched all over the surface. The bottom of the tankard is marked “Manning, Bowman & Co. 135”.
