Description: Boxed off is a study of balance. There are six separate drawings to emphasis balance in architecture, specifically windows. Each one has a number and their style written below: “II ITALIAN BROCADES”, “V MARBLE INLAID”, “IV ITALIAN BROCADES”, “III FRENCH GOTHIC”, “VIII HARP LUTE”, and “VIII ENGLISH GUITAR”. In the TRC “EB B-”, and it is signed by Peter near the BRC.

Description: Four cowboys are gathered around a teepee, the top of which is not visible, as it runs of the paper. A man at the far right sits on a boulder and plays the guitar. The next man’s back faces the viewer. The third man sits on a second boulder and appears to be playing the harmonica. The fourth man stands with his leg on the same boulder, his hand resting on his leg. A tree trunk is visible behind the man on the far right. Mountains and a stormy-looking sky are seen beyond the camp setting. All of the men are wearing cowboy hats.
