Description
Four pieces from different manufacturers that make up a viewer for 16mm film, includes:Zeiss Moviscop : a grey-blue metal machine with a small square screen above the mechanism that feeds the film through and illuminates it from below. On the left-hand side is an outlet where the power cord can be plugged in [power cord missing], and on the right-hand side is a a black plastic knob [possibly for feeding the film] and a switch.Moviloa [Hollywood, California, USA] : two grey metal film reel holders with wooden handles. Placed on either side of the viewing machine, these holders were used to hold the two ends of the film reel. CIR-Catozzo [Leo Catozzo of Rome, Italy] : grey metal film splicer. Consists of a plate that hinges upward with a black plastic handle so that the film [16mm] can be inserted, two hinged slicers on the right-hand side [one of which is on an angle], and a roll of clear adhesive tape mounted at the front. On the bottom of the splicer is a piece of masking tape that has HH Films written in blue ink.

Grey cardboard travel box with reinforced metal corners on both pieces, a metal frame on the lid for a shipping label, and green canvas straps with metal tips mounted in a cross on the bottom. In the metal frame on the lid is a piece of thick paper that is mostly illegible due to an adhesive shipping label addressed to Head Hunter Films from Gastown Productions. Also adhered to the lid is a circular bright orange Head Hunter Films sticker to the left of the metal frame and the torn remnants of shipping labels on the right. Inside the box is a plastic Loomis Courier Service shipping pouch that may have been adhered to the lid at some point, as well as a paper Loomis Air Courier receipt.

Square cardboard film reel travel box with metal caps on all the corners, a green canvas handle attached to one edge of the lid with metal braces, and green canvas straps with metal caps attached in a cross on the bottom. On the lid is a metal frame for a shipping label - the label in the frame is addressed to “Miss Carrie Hunter” from “Foster Advertising Company Limited” and a hand-written Head Hunter Films label is visible underneath - as well as an Air Canada adhesive shipping label, an Air Canada Expedair paper envelope, and a circular Head Hunter Films sticker that has an address in Montreal written in. Inside the box is a grey metal empty film reel frame with a small white paper adhesive with “91-6” written on it in black ink and a piece of masking tape with “NOV 87 [illegible] Rev. From HTWWS” written in blue ink [HTWWS refers to the Head Hunter Film “How the West Was Skied].”
