Description
Four shallow, footed dishes. (a) vermillion throughout with gold and grey flower stems inside bowl and continuing over rim to outside bowl. (b) large grey and gold fish, carp? about to swallow piece of kelp or seaweed. (c) mottled brown over pale vermilion outside bowl. Inside bowl grey and gold chrysanthemum branch. Laquer applied thickly and is flaking and curling off, fair condition only. (d) pale vermillion ground throughout, inside bowl heavily decorated in grey, gold, green and deep vermillion plant design, possibly a pepper tree. Exterior bowl has one only pepper ? branch on it.
