History / Biographical: The Canadian Women's Army Corps was authorized as an organization by the Canadian Government in 1941, and was officially integrated into the Canadian Army in March 1942.

Scope & Content: File consists of 3 photographs pertaining to the North-West Mounted Police and the Canadian Women's Army Corps. Photographs depict two officers and a horse outside of a NWMP barracks; Sergeant Major Flintoff on horseback in a residential area; and a group photograph of the No. 10 Platoon - B Company of the Canadian Women's Army Corps (1943). Jean Mary Ross is pictured in the group photograph.
