Paradise of the Pacific was born in January 1888, with the blessing of King Kalakaua. Though it changed its name in 1966 to HONOLULU Magazine, the magazine has been in continuous publication for 125 years.

Album is hand-made made from cardboard and tape with two-hole punch binding. Album covers are in poor condition and 9 pages have come loose from string binding. Album contains 172 pages. Prints may be contact prints. Some prints have come loose from adhesive. Album pages have been mylared to prevent loss or damage of prints that are coming loose. Prints have been captioned with numbers and the album pages have organized and captioned with letter sections A to Z and AA to MM.
