Description
A round, white plate with a border design (1.7cm wide) that incorporates a bold, art-deco style (Wheatsheaf pattern) of yellow wheat sheaves, maple leaves, and flowers in browns, greens, and yellow on a blue background. This border chain is broken to incorporate the printed “CANADIAN PACIFIC” in blue. The Minton logo is on the back, printed in black, a crown on top, “MINTONS” printed across a circular, segmented globe, a laurel leaf on either side, between the leaves “EST. 1793”, and below that “ENGLAND”. The words “MINTON CHINA” was impressed into the plate before the glaze was applied, but the word CHINA is barely visibible.
