- File pertains to 54 letters written by Catharine Robb Whyte to her mother, Edith Morse Robb from July 1 to December 15, 1956. Topics include day to day life, Banff events, visits from friends, painting, photography, wildlife, travel, camping, weather, events and people in Concord, radio programs [mostly news and hockey games], various holidays [both Canadian and American], a roadtrip north through British Columbia to the Yukon and Alaska from July 20-August 13 [they drove through northern British Columbia to the Yukon and visited Dawson City and Whitehorse before heading to Anchorage, Alaska, and then returned by the same route, making many smaller side-trips to scenic points and villages along the way], developing colour film from their roadtrip, a visit to Bow Lake, two weeklong visits with the Campbells on their ranch in Cowley, a long visit from Catharine's nephew Rusty in September and October, putting together their annual Christmas card, and preparing for a trip to Concord for Christmas. Some letters are typed and some hand-written. Also includes one notecard and a partial map of Northern BC, western Yukon, and eastern Alaska.
