Description
A folding pocket knife with the handle made from the hoof and leg (skin and hair attached) of a very small deer with a metal 'shoe' nailed to the bottom. The leg has been split to accommodate a long blade on one side and a corkscrew on the other. A T-shaped metal crosspiece with a hinged lever locks the blade open and is released by pressing. The base of the blade is marked with “Henry Boker & Co.”, “Improved Cutlery”, and a stamp of deer antlers.
