The light brown fabric cover is made in one piece and decorated with delicate embroidered flowers and the initials “A” and “J.” The interior of the case is lined with darker brown fabric and has two section. Inside the case is a small card with “This needle book belonged to Jane or Bettie Jefferis sisters of Jacob Jefferis My mother’s grandfather Mary T.S. Schaffer Feb. 2nd 1902” handwritten in pencil.
