Top begins with four lines followed by double alphabet and numbers 1 to 7, four more alphabets with numbers are separated by different styles of decorative lines. Final alphabet is followed by A.M. Each alphabet has letter Z followed by ampersand and a small c. Below final alphabet is "Susan Lehman Her Work Done in the Ninth Year" At bottom of embroidery is a line with various animals and birds with a tree in the centre.
