Padded supports and buckled leather straps located inside to keep the tripod in place - straps not done up at time of processing. NICHOLAS MORANT written in white along the narrow top edge on either side of carrying handle, TR1 written in yellow paint in the top left end of narrow edge and in top right corner of opening side, the torn remains on a Canadian Pacific Railway label remains on the side that does not open. Tripod: Manufacturer mark on metal support below the camera support base reads [D]INEMA EQUIPMENT CO. No manufacturer details available online. Tripod dimensions are 124.1x14.7x14.7 cm. The legs of the tripod are wood, with metal spikes at the bottoms, metal brackets, and a metal camera support rig [possibly cast iron]. The legs are held together with a buckled strip of leather at the bottom. Also in the case is a metal pole with a black plastic handle that can screw into the camera support base for use as a controller and a plastic zip-lock baggie containing a length of chain with 4 metal clasps throughout 286.0 cm in length.

- Metal developing tanks dimensions: 13.6x11.6x17.2 or smaller.Torn and crinkled label free-floating inside case reads “DALLON SS TANKS 3 1/4 X 4 1/4 24 CAPACITY.” DALLON most likely refers to David Allan (Dallan) sheet metal workers, specializing in darkroom products, of London England. Case is a hard-sided black leather box with a lid that hinges open and held open with a brown leather strip on the left-hand side - also has silver metal clasps and carry handle on the front of the case. The case’s interior is lined with grey fabric and the main compartment is divided into two equal sections that house the metal developing tanks. Nailed to the bottoms of each compartment are pieces of wood to prevent the tanks from sliding around. The metal tanks have lids that lift off - one has notches that could have been used to latch the lid down, but no latches remain, and the other has holes in the middle of the lid from where a handle used to be, the handle is missing. Inside the tanks are cradles with lifting handles at either end and removable curved brackets to mount the film in. One tank has what appears to be a vent with a cap on one end, the cap appears to be stuck in place. Folded-up newspaper packed into empty spaces of case beside the tanks, removed.

- Burgundy leather hard-sided travel case for Leica camera accessories. The case looks like a standard briefcase, with leather caps on the corners and two locking clasps, one on either side of the handle, which is still wrapped in paper. Throughout the exterior are black and silver metal studs either holding the corner protectors in place or the interior dividing compartments. The interior of the lid is lined with red and white plaid paper and the main body of the case is lined with thin pale wood. Throughout the interior are wooden pieces meant to separate accessories, some of the pieces are covered with burgundy velvet. There is a small metal ring with two keys for the latches’ locks hanging from the handle.

- A travel case made from some hard light-weight black material (possibly metal) with a hinged lid that closes with metal latches on either side of a latched lock. Metal brackets on all of the corners and reinforcing along all edges - wooden runners along the bottom of the case horizontally. There is a leather strap that clips into loops on the short sides of the box as well as a leather travel tag. Attached to the leather strap is a yellow Canadian Pacific Railway travel tag with a piece of string. Throughout the exterior are various travel labels, mostly torn. On the lid is a white rectangular “Canadian Pacific” label that reads “Nicholas Morant, Special Photographer Canadian Pacific Ltd. care CP Transport” in typed text and “Banff Alta” written in black ink above a scratched out typed “Victoria, B.C.” Also on the lid is a piece of masking tape with “LEICA & FILM & ACCESSORIES” written in blue ink possibly by Nick Morant. The interior is lined with beige fabric and both the main body and the interior of the lid are divided into two equal compartments. In one of the body compartments are wooden slats that most likely sit on supports inside each part to create additional compartments at the bottom of the case, but they are not in place. The compartments in the lid are held closed with small pieces of leather that snap onto the front panels which hinge down on strips of brown fabric tape. The handle on the lid may have been compressed paper or leather, but has been wrapped in black electrical tape so only the original metal loops and brackets remain. The carry strap attaches to both short sides with metal clips and is made of brown leather - the strap has a buckle that is undone so the two halves hang separately at the sides. Throughout the exterior are various travel stickers and labels, mostly torn.The interior of the case is lined with black paper and the bulk of the body is comprised of a particleboard insert separated into three compartments that sits on braces near the bottom, creating a hidden compartment underneath.Contents of the box include various camera accessories and equipment, as well as a collection of manuals for various film exposures. - Hard-sided black travel case with a hinged lid used to carry a folding Deardolff camera and its accessories. The case has metal caps on all the corners and reinforcing along all edges, there are also wooden runners along the bottom. On both short sides are metal loops attached to the box with short leather bits that most likely were for a strap, missing. On the lid is a leather handle attached with the same metal loop-leather bit attachment - handing from those metal loops are two different travel tags with Morant’s name and title with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Various colourful travel labels and stickers are visible throughout the exterior, mostly faded and torn. The interior of the main body of the case is lined with red velvet and is divided into four compartments. One compartment has braces to hold up a small wooden box insert.The camera is a Deardorff 5x7 wooden camera that folds open to show leather bellows at least 31cm long. Also in the case are 13 separate plastic “Lisco Regal 5x7 Cut Film Holders,” a green plastic folder that may have been for a pocket calendar (“1970 DEUTSCHE ZENTRALE” is stamped in gold on the front) filled with various lens and exposures manuals, two yellow “Kodak WRATTEN FILTER” boxes - one has a red filter and the other has two pale filters - and in a wooden box is a small circular magnifying glass that folds out of a blue leather sleeve on a long black cord, a typed “PACKSACK CHECKLIST 5x7” mounted on paper in a plastic sleeve, and a small rectangular mirror in a blue plastic sleeve. There is also a narrow rectangular box with a small leather tab at the top.

- Hard-sided black carry case with a hinged lid and unlined wooden interior. All corners are capped with metal, mostly rusted - three metal latches are also extensively rusted (the centre one is a lock latch). Running along the length of the lid and the bottom of the case are two parallel wooden runners. Also on the lid is a hard leather handle attached to the lid with metal loops - attached to both handle loops are several remnants of paper tags and a leather travel tag with a clear plastic window. Visible through the window is a stained paper tag that reads “N Morant Special Photographer Public Relations and Advertising Canadian Pacific Banff, Alberta.” Inside the lid is a “NATIONAL FILM BOARD OF CANADA Exposed Negative” card depicting a woman in a pale green bikini. Drawn on the inside of the lid in black, yellow, and red is a caricature of a face with a thought bubble that reads “AUNT MARTHA LIKES THIS ONE.” The exterior of the case is covered in faded and torn travel stickers and labels, there is also “D7” spray painted in yellow on the lid under the handle, on both short sides, and on the back. Inside the case are three black “KODAK HARD RUBBER TANK 4x5” containers. In one tank are two cardboard boxes - one is green and contains an Eastman timer and the other is a yellow “EASTMAN THERMOMETER” box with the thermometer inside. The second tank contains two circular metal supports for developing rolls of film negatives, a white metal Kodak film canister (empty), and a blue cardboard box with another metal film processor inside. The third tank contains a cylindrical container that has something inside of it, but it does not open.
