A transparent polystyrene 600mL cylindrical measuring jug with easy to pour lip. The jug would have been used to measure the volume or bulk solid of granular ingredients. The measuring jug has a total of three scales that have uniform and widely separated markings which are very easy to read. The first two scales are side-by-side and indicate both milliliters and English fluid ounces. The milliliter scale increases in increments of 25 and begins at 25 and ends at 600. The English fluid scale increases by increments of 1 and begins at 1 and finishes at 22. The final scale represents U.S. fluid ounces also increasing in increments of 1 and begins with 1 and finishes with 22. The measuring jug has the name Patterson written on the base, signifying the manufacturer.

A metal 24 ounce measuring jug with handle. The measuring jug has a slight lip for easy pouring. The scale has been inscribed on the inside of the measuring jug and contains both ounces and cubic centimeters or milliliters symbolized by “c.c.” The scale representing ounces begins at 2 ounces and increases in 2 ounce increments to 24 ounces. The cubic centimeter scale begins at 100 c.c. and increases in increments of 100 c.c. to 700 c.c. and then by 50 c.c. more to 750. The bottom of the measuring jug has an inscription that reads: “Vollrath” in cursive writing followed by “STAINLESS STEEL WARE” “8324” all in upper case letters. Vollrath is a manufacturer of stainless steel and aluminum parts and products for food service and custom uses.
