- The Alberta Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star is a charitable foundation based in Alberta which was first formed in 1912. The organization supports various local, national and international causes through fundraising initiatives, and draws inspiration for this work through biblical teachings. Current initiatives as of 2019 include scholarship programs for the University of Lethbridge and the University of Calgary. Membership is restricted to masons by trade [males] and to female spouses or family members of masons.

- File consists of various documents, handouts and organization records pertaining to the Order of the Eastern Star in Calgary and Banff. 22 membership certificates in Maud Kidney's name; booklets and programmes for Installation of Officers events, a 1952 meeting in Banff, and a list of by-laws; a news article discussing the installation of officers in 1950, including Maud Kidney's installation as Matron; a small booklet containing organization notes; a letter to Maud Kidney from Bessie Bloom; edited drafts of a speech, hymns and songs, and a typed draft of an initiation speech script for new members; and a blank "petition for initiation" form to join the organization.
