- History / Biographical
- Jean Beliveau (1931 - 2014) was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, later moving to Victoriaville where he first began to play hockey. Beliveau joined the Quebec Citadelles team and later the Quebec Aces before joining the NHL as a member of the Montreal Canadiens in 1953. Beliveau married his lifelong partner, Elise Couture, the same year (1953) and the two had a daughter together, Helene Beliveau. Jean Beliveau had an 18-year career as a player for the Montreal Canadians before retiring as a player and becoming an executive in 1971. During his career, Beliveau played 1,225 games, scoring 507 goals and 712 assists and was voted as the Montreal Canadian's Most Valuable Player twice. Beliveau's team won the Stanley Cup playoffs 10 times during his playing career. Beliveau was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972. Beliveau worked as Senior Vice-President of Corporate Affairs for the Montreal Canadiens until 1993. I 1994, he was offered the position of Governor General of Canada, but turned down the position due to family commitments. In 1998, Beliveau received the title of Companion of the Order of Canada.

- File consists of 28 photographs, including 2 Christmas greeting cards with family photographs and 4 postcard prints, some annotated. Content pertains to various members of the Woodworth family including Percy, Maud, Benjamin and Fred Woodworth, community events, including a community play and a Christmas party, friends of the Kidney and Woodworth families, a visit to St. George's in the Pines Anglican Church in Banff by King George VI and Queen Mary of England, and early photographs of the town of Banff.
