- A flat glass bottle with a round sterling silver hinged lid. The bottom of the bottle fits into a sterling silver guard, and the top half is covered with black leather. The leather cover has two vertical oval windows cut out as level indicators. The silver guard is engraved with “ F.A.B.” and “Dec. 21, 1915”. The silver guard and lid are marked with hallmarks, including crossed arrows.

The trunk also has two snap latches and circular locking latch on the front. The inside of the trunk is lined with striped paper. A sticker on the trunk reads “Mrs. John Brewster, Banff, Alta., New Westminster, B.C.”.
