From each side teepees are situated; five on the left and eight on the right going into the distance to a point left of center, where the central space meets the hills behind. Groups of figures and dogs sit or stand around at the entrances to the teepees. There is a larger group sitting in a circle at the lower edge in the center. The blue sky is heavy with streaks of orange and grey clouds filling the upper half of the picture.

The sky is clear blue above where seven skiers stand waiting their turn.
