- Ink drawing of three men in military uniform. Two of the men are normally scaled, but the third, central figure is scaled so that his head only reaches the knee of the other two men. All are wearing dark trousers, and what appears to be a belted military coats with large buttons. Their pillbox caps sit on the sides of their heads. All stand with perfect posture, but the third miniature figure’s back is to the viewer. The initials P.W. appear to the bottom right of the drawing, near the rightmost figure’s feet. In the top right corner there are pencil sketches of the back view of these soldier’s heads and upper bodies. The words CHAPTER 2 (circled) appear above these pencil sketches.
