There is stencilling on the side, the initials “P.A.M.”, and stencilling on the top “Major Moore, 6 Inf. B----id, QRS”. The trunk also has paper stickers from Montreal shipping lines on it.

The trunk fastens with a metal flip latch. The trunk has “PAYMASTER 61st Battalion no. 2” stencilled on the front with black paint. There are also paper sitckers on the trunk, one reading “Major P.A. Moore, Montreal, Canada”, and another sticker from the Whte Star, Dominion Line.
