- A low, metal covered trunk reinforced with metal stripping and metal corners. The trunk fastens shut with two snap latches and a circular central latch. The trunk has a single leather handle on the front for carrying. The lid hinges half way across the top. There is stencilling on the side, the initials “P.A.M.”, and stencilling on the top “Major Moore, 6 Inf. B----id, QRS”. The trunk also has paper stickers from Montreal shipping lines on it.

- A square, pine World War I Paymaster's trunk that has been painted grey. There are metal angles reinforcing the side corners, as well as metal edging along the lid edge and two metal handles. The trunk fastens with a metal flip latch. The trunk has “PAYMASTER 61st Battalion no. 2” stencilled on the front with black paint. There are also paper sitckers on the trunk, one reading “Major P.A. Moore, Montreal, Canada”, and another sticker from the Whte Star, Dominion Line.
