Description
Four military medals and a leather wallet.(a) A gold coloured medal (3.5 cm in diameter) that is marked with "The Great War for Civilization 1914-1919” on one side, and with the figure of an angel (winged Victory) in releif on the other side. This medal hangs from a rainbow coloured ribbon. Inscribed on the edge of the medal is "Major P.A. Moore". (b) An oval shaped medal (5.5 x 3.7 cm) with the cut out letters "GRT" inside a silver-coloured frame of laurel leaves, and under a gold coloured royal crown. The medal is attached to a green and yellow ribbon that is topped with a silver bar marked "Canada" on the face, and inscribed "Major P.A. Moore" on the reverse. (c) A bronze coloured medal (5.0 x 4.5 cm) with crossed swords on 3 rays that is overlaid with a wreath. The date "1914-15" is across centre of the crosses swords. There is a red crown at the top of the medal. The back of the medal is inscribed "Major P.A. Moore 6/CAN: 1. BDE: H.Q.". The medal hangs from the point of a red white and blue ribbon.(d) an allied service medal of silver with a profile of “GEORGIV BRITT.OMN.REX ET IND. IMP: On one side is a horseman stamping on a shield and a skull and the dates are “1914-1918”. Enscribed on the edge of the medal is Major P.A. MOORE. This medal hangs from a blue, black, white and gold ribbon.(e) A leather hand tooled purse with "P.A. Moore 1904" engraved on top.
