- Photograph albums mainly document Alpine Club of Canada camps in the Rocky and Selkirk Mountains between 1906 and 1914. Included are photographs of camp sites, activities, participants, operations and mountaineering in the areas of Selkirk Mountains, Glacier area and Rogers Pass, Yoho Valley, Consolation Valley, Paradise Valley, Sherbrooke Lake, Cathedral Mountain, Vermilion Pass and Mount Robson area. Albums and images are titled and often include detailed identifications. Several albums are broad thematic compilations of scenic and camp views. Topics include day to day life, weather, cleaning and household chorse, a 3-day trip to the Columbia Icefields to paint/sketch in early September, news pertaining to the war, matters pertaining to the store and apartments on Banff Ave, radio programs [including operas, news, and sports], visits from friends, updates on war-time rations [mostly on food items and gasoline/coal], day trips around Banff National Park to sketch/paint [mostly to Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, and Lake Minnewanka], going to the movies, wildlife, books Catharine and Edith are reading, events and people in Concord [including Russel's activities and promotions in the US Army], various holidays [both Canadian and American], making frames, Catharine's involvement with the Red Cross [including first aid training], Pete being hired by Sir Norman Watson to create letterhead and a Christmas card for Mount Temple Chalet, skiing, slide making and presentations, errand trips to Calgary [mostly to see the dentist], and Christmas activites/parties. Also includes postcards.
