- Description
- A low silver bowl standing on a wooden base. The bowl, 6.4 high, has two flat decorated handles that extend out 4.0 from the top rim. The base of the cup is 1.0 and decorated all around. One side has a shield shape and "omne bonum dei donum" and numerous silver marks. Other side is inscribed: "Presented by The Royal Burgh of Banff, Scotland to The Town of Banff, Alberta for Annual Competition at their Highland Games." The base is made of solid wood, the bottom flares out with a 3.0 wide decorated band. Nailed to the side is a 4.0x9.0 wide silver plaque with inscriptions: "1971 - Edmund Chilton, Jasper. Alberta 1972 - James Troy, Victoria, B.C." (c) Plain wooden box with lid and key.
