- A black coil bound sketchbook. Inside the front cover “Cliff Robinson 1009-13 Ave West, Calgary. Morley, Alta” has been written in ink. The sketchbook contains ink, watercolour, and pencil works that illustrate rural scenes [Morley/Mini Thni], studies of plants and animals, buildings, tipis, a sundance lodge, RCMP Barracks, Haida symbols, Loose linocuts of villages, a church have been placed between pages. Near the back is a letter to members of the Society of Canadian Painter-etchers and Engravers and a list of paintings exhibited by the Art Gallery of Toronto April 11 - May 3 1942

- Description
- Spiral-bound sketchbook with brown thick card stock covers that belonged to Peter Whyte. Printed on the front cover is “The Beverly Spiral Sketch Book, (Rough Surface), For Pencil, Watercolors, Crayon and Ink, M” in dark brown. Sketches feature Christmas card ideas, figure studies, teepee interiors, rows of teepees with people in front/around them, animals, a house [done in watercolour paints, possibly by a child named Ian], and the funeral of Chief David Bearspaw, 1956. Some pages appear to have been torn from other sketchbooks and inserted in this one - there are also smaller papers of sketches folded up and tucked between the pages.
