Description
An adult’s beaded buckskin jacket with leather tie front closing; appears to be Stoney beadwork; all beadwork done in the lazy stitch. Blue, green, and ochre beads, stitched in rows on breast front, beading of and blue and ochre on the shoulders and around the armholes, a rounded chevron-shaped design (five rows) of alternating dark and light blue beads on the back ending with two light blue, dark blue and ochre, tails. The cuffs and bottom of the jacket have cutouts on wide fringes and also have the regular narrow fringes.
