Description
View-Master 2D projector with its paper ephemera in the original box along with a box of View-Master colour slides in another box.The projector is brown metal with a small lens sticking out the front, a wide slot for the slides between the lens and the bulb, and a small housing with ventilation slats on top that can be removed to expose the light bulb and inner focussing lens. At the back of the projector is the brown power cord, a small white plastic power switch, and a metal screw attached to a rubber foot underneath that can be turned to adjust the height of the projector - attached to the screw is a paper price tag with a piece of string. Other items in the box with the projector are a user’s manual and various adverts for View-Master slides. The box has a deep black body and a white and silver lid. The box of View-Master slides contains 62 round slides in individual paper sleeves, a small green plastic-covered book on Alpine Wildflowers, and View-Master advertising pamphlets. The slides mostly pertain to tropical locations and National Parks throughout North America - all appear to have been purchased, rather than made by the Crosby family. The box has a black body and a shiny gold lid.
