- Description
- A round silver medal hanging by two chains, each with three links, from a bar depicting a charging buffalo. The medal depicts a seated woman placing a laurel wreath on the head of a genuflecting youth, and the words “Canadian Amateur Athletic Union” along with a date in roman numerals “MDCCCXXXIII”. There is a low relief wreath of maple leaves on the back of the medal along with an inscription “2nd Pole Vault Winnipeg 1909”. The reverse of the medal also has hallmarks and “S25 Sterling”.

- United Mine Workers of American, Bankhead Union #29. Pin has a 0.9x4.8 cm enamelled plate with 2 hands in a handshake. Chain hangs from both sides and across centre is an enamelled plate with "Member" attached to a circular medal, gold inside with another handskae and silver scroll around edge. On this is "U.M.W. of A. April 1st 1898 eight hours". Red, white and blue ribbon with gold edges and fringes on which is written in gold letters "Local Union No. 29 United Mine Workers pf American Bankhead, Alberta, Canada". Obverse is black.

- Large, bright brass button and star shaped pin from uniform of the National Fire Brigade Union. Symbol forms an eight pointed star of radial rays around a band reading "National Fire Brigade Union" with a Union Jack at the centre surrounded by a laurel wreath. (a) pin, die pressed, star shaped, patinaed dull brass. Small writing above flag is difficult to make out "Ro 147141?" Ring soldered to each side of concave back to hold cotter pin, missing . (b) button, bright brass, domed with symbol at centre, and raised rim around edge. Hollow with flat back and ring shank soldered at centre.
