Many photographs are annotated in white lettering or on reverse sides. Content pertains to family members and friends of Maud Woodworth and depicts people posing in military uniforms, horseback riding/packing trips in the Canadian Rockies, portraits of various family members, Maud Woodworth at the Banff Winter Carnival ice palace, numerous babies and young children, skiing, children playing, horseback riding and ranching, camping, hiking, swimming, the Bankhead monument, and boating. Locations include Bear Creek, Brazeau Lake, Nigel Pass, Banff Springs Hotel, the Woodworth home in Banff, Cave and Basin, "The Great Divide" [Alberta/British Columbia border], and Vancouver. Individuals include Joe Woodworth, Annie and Maud Woodworth, Mary and Margaret Simpson [later known as the "Simpson Sisters"], "Billie" and numerous others who are mostly unnamed. - History / Biographical
- Bill McCowan, 1897-1975, was a government employee at Banff, Alberta, Canada. McCowan came to Banff from Scotland with his family in 1911. His brother, Dan McCowan, was a renowned naturalist and writer. Other siblings were Marie, Jim, Duncan, Rae, Jock and Jennie. Jennie McCowan (1894-1984) married John Clark Wilson (1888-1932), son of Tom and Minnie Wilson. Their daughter, Bernice, married Bill Waterworth.

- William D. Buck, 1859-1922, was born in England and is thought to have served during the First World War with the 103 Calgary Rifles. Buck was a Sergeant at the Banff and Castle Mountain internment camps, ca.1915-1917, and appears to have accompanied prisoners to a camp at Kapuskasing, Ontario after closure of the Castle Mountain camp in 1917.

- History / Biographical
- Sidney Joseph Unwin, [1880?]-1917, was a guide and outfitter at Banff, Alberta. Born in England, Unwin returned, after serving with the volunteer cavalry in the South African (Boer) War, to his home in London, England for a brief period to work as a surveyor's clerk, and in the fall of 1904 he moved to Banff. Initially, Unwin worked for guides and outfitters Syd Baker and Jimmy Simpson. In the winter of 1905 he began his own trapline. In 1907, Unwin began work for Billy Warren and accompanied Mary Schaffer and Molly Adams on their expeditions to the Maligne Lake, Saskatchewan River areas.
- After two years of working for Warren, Unwin began his own guiding outfit and in 1912, with the aid of his sister Ethel and brother Arthur, the Unwins established Unwin's Curios and Souvenirs. In 1914, Sid Unwin enlisted in the Canadian army and took up with the 22nd Battery (Howitzer), 6th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery 2nd Division. In 1916 he saw his first action in France. He fought in the battle for Vimy Ridge, was injured May 3, 1917 and died on June 29, 1917 at the East Leeds War Hospital.
