Description
A pair of simple horses crudely carved from a thickness of layered bark. (a) Fairly well proportioned horse carved in outline with body rounded at edges, short tail slightly carved to shape, head shaped a little to present detail of two ears. (b) Stylized elongated horse carved in outline and curved at edges of body. Long arched neck, head has evidence of single ear, other broken off. Stump of tail remaining. Note: layers of bark dry and splitting (b) bark layers curled and complete sections broken away on front legs, hind feet, neck, and nose.

View of a cabin with tall mountains in the distance. In the centre of the background is found a distinctive triangular peak covered in snow. The peak's exposed rock is coloured brown-grey. Two mountains, partially obscured by trees, are located on either side of the centre peak-on the left, a blue-grey mountainside slopes downwards and on the right is a rounded summit with a line white snow dividing the crown from the lower slopes. In the right foreground, a brown cabin (with a red-brown roof and an open front door) sits in a meadow surrounded by tall evergreens.
