On the left side are buildings. The front one is white and built of stone or brick. In the background is a hillside which goes up at an angle from the left to he upper right. Clear blue sky fills in the rest.

- Tom Lonsdale was the United Church Minister, for many years, in Banff; he took painting lessons from Pete Whyte circa 1950; Catharine purchased LoT.02.02 through LoT.02.04 at a United Church rummage sale, for $3.00 each, in 1975. Tom Lonsdale spent some years in a Calgary rest home and died 1975.

Two mountains, partially obscured by trees, are located on either side of the centre peak-on the left, a blue-grey mountainside slopes downwards and on the right is a rounded summit with a line white snow dividing the crown from the lower slopes. In the right foreground, a brown cabin (with a red-brown roof and an open front door) sits in a meadow surrounded by tall evergreens.
