- An Alberta harvest scene. In the foreground is an area of wheat that has been cut down in concentric circles. A circular area of wheat has been left standing in the centre of the circles. This field of wheat is a vivid orange and a pale yellow. At the centre-right of the image is a black oil derrick. To the left of the derrick and further in the distance are several grain elevators, of which a few are bright red. In the distance are the Rocky Mountains. A soft grey-blue sky makes up the top portion of the print.

Thin streaky clouds stretch across the print. The foreground is green, white and dark brown. It looks like it has been plowed in roughly even rows.

At th right side is the edge of a lake, a dock with a boat tied up on either side. There are two buildings near the dock and to ? here and thre in front of the buildings. In the upper third is the vague outline of trees. Snow falls in big flakes all over the picture.

From the bottom right corner a road runs into and then is lost on the close side of the river valley. The immediate foreground is a brown, grassy, shrubby area which gradually turns to green as it crosses the road and descends into the river valley. The opposite side of the river valley is mainly grey. The sky is a heather pink colour with a few tan coloured clouds in it.
